The Law
Want to marry today? Tennessee says yes.
Tennessee law has no waiting period between getting the marriage license and the ceremony. Walk into the Shelby County Clerk's office in the morning, walk out married that afternoon — it's legal, it's done all the time, and we'll make sure every box gets checked.
The Shelby County marriage license is $99 (Tennessee residents) or $104 (out-of-state). Both parties need to appear together with photo ID. We help you with the form, the appointment, and the paperwork at the ceremony.
